Michael Bentley shares his aspirations to create a forum for Artist who are drawn to the Dark, Macabre, Melancholy, Thrilling & Suspenseful!

The idea for Dark Hearts Media came to me earlier this year (2021) after a discussion with my wife. I've long been a fan of the strange and unusual, the paranormal, Horror, true crime, thrillers and many different kinds of dark art from music to cinema & literature. I've always invited the nightmares and embraced that certain melancholy that seems to reside inside of me, and the older I get I continue to embrace the unique creative perspective it allows.

The Future Of Dark Hearts Media And Michael Bentley

As a whole, DHM was borne out my own love affair with some of the less desirable emotions I deal with on a regular basis, and an attraction to dark content that some shy away from, and many others are drawn to. The concept and basic premise for DHM is to provide an outlet, a forum where Artist (Authors, Writers, Painters, Sculptors, Drawers, Musicians, etc.) can share their passions and afflictions with one another. A place where they can thrive and share interest, ideas, projects, inspirations and recommendations - a bit of an ongoing conversation.

I'm not a one dimensional artist when it comes to my inspiration and what I hope to leave behind, but hopefully there will be plenty of opportunities to explore the different parts of my mind along the way, every dark corner. But when it comes to DHM, it's express purpose is to promote and share Artist, from script to screen and page to book, whose work shares something in common with me, a Dark Heart. Where the future will take this platform, I'm not sure. For now it's little more than a space for people to share, promote, and find inspiration and common ground. Ultimately, it may end up being a Publishing House or Marketing Firm for dark natured material. Whatever the future holds for Dark Hearts Media, I hope people enjoy meeting one another and sharing in their success, and failures. - Michael S. Bentley
